First World War -Hand written Wills

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/world-war-one/10272188/First-World-War-hand-written-wills-give-new-insight-on-our-war-heroes.html
Being an Estate Planner I am naturally interested in any articles about Wills but this one really got me thinking.
In the First World War soldier wrote their last will by hand and hoped that their wishes would be respected.
In reality many of these letters were never seen by their loved ones.
I find it incredibly sad and moving that these soldiers so many miles away from those they loved had their loved ones in their thoughts and at times when they realised their lives were at risk they wrote down their wishes with the intention of ensuring the security of those they loved.
