In case I was in any doubt about being nice to inanimate objects and verbally encouraging them to work I have evidence that this is the best course of action:
My printer has been playing up recently and this has been a royal pain. I have patiently fiddled with it, turned it on and off added new cartridges....etc.
In desperation I pleaded with the printer:
" Please work sweet printer," I coaxed.
The printer worked perfectly!
What more can I say?
